We can all use new sources of inspiration when it comes to working toward greater sustainability. You can find them in this blog, where we profile some of the many people in the UNL community who make smart choices about the resources they use where they live, work and play.
Sustainability and Wellness
Kimberly Barrett is UNL Campus Recreation’s Assistant Director of Wellness Services and Fitness Programs. For 18 years, she has dedicated herself to the health and fitness field. When she isn’t serving as the chair of the Chancellor’s Committee on Wellness or working as an ACE-certified Advanced Health & Fitness Professional and Health Coach, she loves to read books and stay active outdoors. Barrett, a mother of 3, lives by the motto: “What doesn’t challenge you doesn’t change you.”
Taking care of Pests and the Environment
Mart Stubblefield is UNL’s integrated pest manager. He works to prevent animal and insect damage with minimal chemical assistance. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Stubblefield joined UNL’s ranks in 2012 after living abroad in Afghanistan and Turkey. He enjoys learning about history, archeology and anthropology, and hopes to retire back to Turkey one day.
