Hey everyone, my name is Anna. I am a master's student in the School of Natural Resources, and I am currently working on finishing up my thesis and graduating this semester. With graduation just around the corner, the time has come to start wrapping up my time serving as the Offices of Sustainability's Communication Specialist and reflecting on the past two years.

In the role of communication specialist, I work a lot on developing content to share through social media, blogs, and the offices newsletter. My main goals in the role is to increase awareness of sustainability on campus as well as awareness of sustainability in general.

Besides helping out in the communications areas, I have also been able to take part in meeting different UNL community members through a variety of activities. Some of my favorite memories have been from presenting in classes, tabling, conducting waste audits, and hosting Sustainability on Wheels events at different colleges.

Overall working with the Office of Sustainability has been incredibly rewarding. I am so thankful for the chance to grow in my own personal understanding of sustainability as well as in the experiences and opportunities the position has held. Most importantly I am incredibly thankful for the people I have been able to meet and get to know along the way that are involved in sustainability at the university and in the Lincoln community. There are so many students, staff, and faculty at UNL that are dedicated to creating a culture of sustainability. Seeing so many passionate and dedicated individuals has been truly encouraging and rewarding.
