What Is It?

UNL's Environment, Sustainability, and Resilience Master Plan was adopted in November 2020 and provides a strategic vision for the future of sustainability at UNL through the presentation of aspirational goals and objectives related to creating a sustainability-centric culture across all major components and constituencies of the university.

How Was It Created?

The Master Plan was developed by the Chancellor’s Environment, Sustainability, and Resilience Commission (CESRC) through an integrated, collaborative process involving individuals serving UNL in a wide variety of roles including students, faculty, and staff.

Why Is It Important?

Pursuing completion of the ESR Master Plan will support the aspirations outlined in the N2025 Strategic Plan and the Report of the N150 Commission to promote the responsible stewardship of natural resources and embrace the philosophy that every person and every interaction matters.
